Mega Tins are an awesome alternative to buying expensive single cards or boosters. 10- Yusei Fudo Mega Tin 2018

The first of 4 tins that contain a limited rare card variant called a Prismatic Secret Rare. These cards are beautiful and this set happens to contain Junk Speeder as its Prismatic Rare. The 2018 tins made our list solely due to the fact of their Prismatic Rares.

The usefulness of this sets mega packs is debatable, but at the end of the day, this purchasing these tins are the only way to get the special rare cards unless you buy them as singles.

The mega packs are lackluster to say the least. There are far better tins on the market that have more useful mega pack cards.

Yusei Fudo 2018 Mega Pack Card List

Promotional Cards: Junk Speeder, Junk Collector, Stardust Assault Warrior, Martial Metal Marcher, Junk Connector

What we like

  • 5 Promotional cards
  • Worthwhile promo and mega pack cards, but don’t make this tin a priority on your list
  • Prismatic Secret Rare Promo Card

What we don’t like

  • Lackluster mega pack cards

9- Jaden Mega Tin 2018

Again, I am a little disappointed with the 2018 mega tin releases. This is probably the better tin out of the two since it does contain Elemental HERO Nebula Neos as a Prismatic Secret Rare.

The 2018 mega tin sets contain cards from the sets Maximum Crisis, Extreme Force, Code of the Duelist, and Circuit Break. There are some useful cards in these sets, but the main reason to buy these tins is for the Prismatic Rares.

Promotional Cards: Elemental HERO Nebula Neos, Elemental HERO Solid Soldier, Keeper of Dragon Magic, Mudragon of the Swamp, Arcana Extra Joker

What we like

  • 5 Promotional cards
  • Worthwhile promo and mega pack cards, but shouldn’t be a priority if you haven’t purchased other tins yet
  • Prismatic Secret Rare Promo Card

What we don’t like

  • Lackluster mega packs

8- Bujintei Susanowo & Brotherhood of The Fire Fist Mega Tin 2014

It’s hard to find these tins separate so I decided to combine the two into one review since it’s easier to find them as a bundle at a pretty good value.

The Bujins and Fire Fists Mega Tins are a set of only 4 tins to have a limited type of rare card called a Platinum Secret Rare.

The Bujins Mega Tin comes with a Platinum Secret Rare Bujintei Susanowo while the Fire Fists Mega Tin comes with a Platinum Secret Rare Brotherhood of the Fire Fist- Tiger King. These cards are beautiful and is the main reason these tins have made the list.

The mega packs in this years mega tin contains some pretty useful cards, but nothing special compared to the top tins on this list.

Bujins Promotional Cards: Bujintei Susanowo, Bujingi Crane, Archfiend Commander

What we like

  • Platinum Secret Rares

The Dark Rebellion 2015 Mega Tin comes with an awesome limited Platinum Secret Rare Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon. Dark Rebellion Dragon is one of the best Rank 4 XYZ monsters in the entire game. There is no need to discuss why this tin is listed in our top ten other than that reason alone.

Along with the awesome promotional cards that are included in this tin, there are also quite a few rare and valuable cards that can be obtained from the mega packs inside.

A few of the rare and valuable cards you can find in these packs include El Shaddoll Shekhinaga, Dante, Traveler of the Burning Abyss, The Monarchs Erupt, and many others.

6- Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon Mega Tin 2015

The second half of the 2015 tins, and the better half at that. This mega tin comes with an Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon promo card that is a limited Platinum Secret Rare.

This tin continues the exclusive rarity of the Platinum Secret Rares in the 2015 tin series on top of two other Super Rare promos.

A few of the valuable mega pack cards in this tin are Madolche Anjelly and Artifact Sanctum. These are just 2 of the most valuable cards in the set, but there are many others to collect as well.

5- Yugi Mega Tin 2017

The counter-part to the Kaiba 2017 Mega Tin. The first thing you’ll notice is that you’ll get the iconic Dark Magician. The artwork is awesome and is well worth it just for this card.

The 2017 tins really shine when it comes to the mega packs. If you don’t really like the promotional cards that come along with this tin then just wait until you see the mega pack card list.

Zoodiac Barrage, Block Dragon, and Dimensional Barrier are just a few of the rare and valuable cards that can be pulled from the mega packs.

4- Kaiba Mega Tin 2017

This tin starts with the iconic Blue-Eyes White Dragon. I don’t really prefer the artwork for this Blue-Eyes, but the other promo cards kind of make up for that. Where this tin really shines is in the mega packs.

The mega packs more than make up for the weak promo cards that come standard with this tin. There are so many useful cards to add to your collection which makes this tin a must have.

Toadally Awesome, Magician Navigation, and Magician of Dark Illusion are just a few of the valuable cards that can be pulled from the mega packs.

This Yugi Mega Tin from 2016 is our first tin to in the top three. The iconic Slifer the Sky Dragon on the front is just beautiful. Not only is it beautiful, but you actually get Slifer as a promo card.

After you’re done drooling at the awesome Slifer artwork, you can then proceed to crack open the mega packs. These mega packs share the same card pool as the Kaiba 2016 tin.

The set contains cards from the sets Crossed SoulsClash of Rebellions, Breakers of Shadow, and Dimension of Chaos. Two rare and valuable cards that you can pull from these packs are Twin Twisters and Solemn Strike.

2- Kaiba Mega Tin 2016

The Kaiba and Obelisk Mega Tin from 2016 is the second best tin in our top 10 lineup, and for good reason. Snow Rabbit and Ghost Ogre are amazing cards which already make this tin one of the best. These two cards alone are used in many staple decks and are must-have.

On top of those two cards you also get the Egyptian God Card Obelisk, a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, and a Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon just to top off this already amazing tin.

Purchasing one or more of these tins will easily boost the amount of valuable and rare cards in your collection. These cards will continue to grow in value the older they get.

1- Gold Sarcophagus Mega Tin 2019

The Gold Sarcophagus Mega Tin is the newest tin available and is our top pick. This tin is debatably one of the best Yu-Gi-Oh mega tins ever released. Each tin contains 5 Promotional Prismatic Secret Rare variant cards. There are a total of 14 different promotional cards you can collect in all which means you won’t be getting everything if you only purchase one tin.

There are three 16-card Mega Packs. Each Mega Pack contains cards from Flames of Destruction, Dark Saviors, Cybernetic Horizon and Soul Fusion sets. This tin is truly one of a kind which Konami even stated themselves.

On top of the mega packs that are included, there are also three cards that were specifically made to handle some of the overpowered “God-Tier” decks in the competitive scene of the game. Nibiru, the Primal Being is just one of these three special cards that were created to help counter the current godly meta decks in the game right now.

Be prepared to purchase more than one of this tin if you want to collect all the awesome rare card variants that this tin has to offer.
