How to Organize/Store Citadel Paints

How to OrganizeStore Citadel Paints

If you have tons of Citadel paints that are just laying around, it can be hard to find them when you need them. When you are trying to get organized, the first thing you are going to look for is organization and storage solutions for your paints. You might have a hard time figuring out what to get, but luckily help is here.

There are tons of different storage solutions for paint, but it can be hard to find one that works for you and your paints. Citadel has a few different options available for paint storage including boxes and racks.

When deciding how to store your Citadel paints, you need to consider the space you have for a storage solution and how you want to sort your paints. We will discuss different storages offered by Citadel and popular ways to sort Citadel paints for storage.

How Do You Sort Citadel Paints?

The best way to sort your Citadel paints is whatever works best for you. There are a few different ways that you can sort your Citadel paints in a way that will make it easy to find the paint you are looking for, and you can decide which one works best.

Sort by Color

One of the most popular ways to sort Citadel paints is by color. This makes it easy to see all the shades of one color you have in your inventory. You can easily select the shade you think will look best on your miniature.

There are a couple of different ways that you can sort the colors in your collection. You can sort by alphabetical color name (black, blue, brown, etc.), by color of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, etc.), or you can sort the colors in an order that makes you happy. There is no right or wrong way!

Sort by Paint Type

Citadel has 8 different types of paints from Base to Spray paints. One way to sort your Citadel paints is by paint type so you always know what you are grabbing. When you sort by color, you will always know what shade and color you are grabbing, but you won’t immediately know if you are grabbing a Base paint or an Air paint.

To make it easier for yourself, you can sort your paints by type instead of by color. This way, you can look through your Base paint section for the color you need to use on your miniature. This will ensure that you know exactly what type of paint you are grabbing.

Try Both

If you want to really organize your Citadel paints, you can sort them by type and by color. This will make it incredibly easy to make sure you are picking the right paint and the right color every time. Sorting your paints this way might take some extra room, so make sure you have plenty of space.

When you sort by color and by type, you can first sort by type and then by color within that type. If you have multiple red Base paints and multiple red Air paints, you can keep them in the same storage solution and keep them separated, but next to each other.
